Oscar Juicer VitalMax 900 Chrome

The Oscar is a premiere single gear juice extractor, with the ability to extract increased quality and quantity of juice from the largest array of fruits, vegetables and wheat grass.

The Oscar Juicer is officially known as the Oscar Vital Max 900. It is the latest model from the Oscar Juicer family. It has been well received since its release in mid 2005 and I have been using my own Oscar (the chrome version) since it arrived in Australia. Without a doubt in my mind, the Oscar juicer is a fast and reliable source of healthy juicing for me every day. The Oscar is a premiere single gear juice extractor.

With the ability to extract increased quality and quantity of juice from the largest array of fruits, vegetables and wheat grasses due to the new silicon juicing screen and three phase auger, and including a combined gearbox and motor, the Oscar Vital Max 900 has been fully patented.

The Oscar Juicer is also a food mill where you can make nut butters, frozen fruit ice creams, soup, nut milks, desserts and dips. I use it mainly for juicing. I have a fast and active life. I need the juicer to be cleaned easily. Lets face it, I hate cleaning the juicer, even though it only takes a few minutes to clean. I guess thats what I love about my oscar juicer as well as the fact that I can make all sorts of yummy juices with it.

The Oscar Juicer, is a chrome version, it looks a lot better, and it came prepacked and ready to go with the following items:

• 1 x set of six multi purpose nozzles 2 x collection bowls
• 1 x cleaning brush
• 1 x instruction and recipe book

Apart from this, the only other item I suggest you buy is a good chopping board and a strong stainless steel knife.

The Oscar Vital Max juicer comes with all new silicon seals on both plunger and screen to produce a true pulp free juice without the need of a sieve.

The auger rotates at 75 to 80 revolutions per minute as opposed to the high speed, heat producing centrifugal juicers thus producing a living juice. This means that ia high speed juicer actually cooks the juice. As the Oscar is a low speed juicer, it maintains the nutritional value of the juice and the payoff is a healthy juice. I don’t buy juice from a shop that use a high speed juicer any more.

The Oscar Juicer is a multi-purpose juicer as well as a food processor combined into one.

1. A fruit juice extractor: The Oscar Juicer efficiently juices soft and hard fruits. Especially citrus fruits, usually one of the hardest fruits to juice. I use it to make sweet drinks for the kids.

2. A vegetable juice extractor: The Osacr Juicer juices all kinds of vegetables, including celery, carrots, peppers, radishes, cabbage without destroying the natural flavor and nutrition. Fresh taste and full nutrition are guaranteed with this unique extraction process. I combine a lot of fruits and vegetables together when I juice. I experiment a lot with different tastes.

Soft foods for special diets for babies and geriatric patients are quick and easy to prepare with the chopper attachment. I dont use this function much.

5. A pasta and noodle extruder: The Oscar can make fresh pasta and noodles in just minutes with the pasta nozzles. My friend uses this all the time as he is italian and loves homemade pastas.

The Oscar has such a variety of applications. My biggest testimonial to it is the value from the initial purchase. I have been using mine for 2 years now, with not one fault or glitch in the hardware. I am fully addicted to juices and the combinations that I can create.

This is my favourite juice recipe:

• 2 Green apples chopped into 9 pieces (to easily fit in the neck)
• 2 Stalks of fresh celery
• 5 Medium sized carrots, cut down the middle to fit in the tube
• 1/2 A fresh lemon (including the skin)
• 1 Green cucumber

I have this juice every morning, sometimes I put ginger in it, sometimes I juice kiwi fruit in it.
